July Couples Play - Results
Sixty six golfers participated in the July Couples Play - a selected drive, alternate shot event - on this sunny, hot summer day with just enough breeze to make the day comfortable. PGA Pro Bob Schuh took the tee to go over the rules and introduce players. A buffet dinner followed play. A wonderful time was had by all! (prizes in the form of golf shop merchandise credit)

Enfield Wins Match Play Championship
Over the beautiful, three-day Memorial Day Weekend, golfers battled it out for the title of Pleasant Valley GC Match Play Champion. The weather was wonderful, the course in excellent condition and the matches- outstanding. The full results are given below, but certainly one of the highlights was Lester Varner making a hole-in-one, double eagle on #1 to go an early 1up on his opponent Dick Wilson who birdied the hole. Saturdays matches determined who continued in the Championship bracket and who went on to compete in the Consolation bracket.

Couples Play - May 2010
The first Couples Play of the 2010 Golf Season was held on Saturday, May 14. Despite the very windy and rather cool conditions, the players had a wonderful time, enjoyed the company of friends and especially loved the hot buffet when they were finished.

David Zorn Wins 46th Annual Club Championship - 2009
Under cloudy skies and cool temperatures, David Zorn shot rounds of 70-67-71 to win the 46th annual Pleasant Valley Club Championship by eight strokes over nearest competitor Chris Carpenter. Zorn led the event from the beginning. Carpenter mounted a charge the second day of play, shooting a 66. But Zorn posted a 67. By the thrid and final round, Zorn needed only to continue his steady play to win handily.

Stan Snodgrass Wins Senior Championship
Stan Snodgrass shot rounds of 79-75 to win the 2009 Senior Club Championship by one shot over Jim Quesenberry and Jan Keeney, Sr. Snodgrass has previously won the event three times ('91, '93, '94). He now also adds 2009 Super Senior Champion to his list of accomplishments, winning this event for players age 65 and older. In the net division, Scott Leeper shot handicap rounds of 65-67 to win by 6 strokes.
In the Super Senior Championship, net division, Bob Biser won by 2 strokes with handicap rounds of 74-70. Full Results are as follows:

Chris Rhein WIns Junior Championship
17-year old Chris Rhein posted a fine 72 in the second round of the Junior Club Championship to win the event by one stroke over fellow competitor, Alex Hofstrand. Rhein's two rounds were 80-72. Hofstrand won the net division with handicap scores of 74-71.
Parent-Child Event
Sixty adults and kids turned out to participate in the first annual nine-hole Adult-Junior golf event. Teams played selected drive, alternate shot format. The day dawned sunny and clear. The course was in great condition. A continental breakfast was enjoyed before the teams went out to play. A hot chicken buffet lunch was served after play. Some grandparents travelled over several states to be here for this event. A great time was had by all. The full results of all the competitions held that day are listed below:

Match Play Championship Results
A full field of 16 players participated in this year's Match Play Championship held over the glorious three-day Memorial Day weekend. The winners of the first round of matches continued on in the championship flight. The losers went on to compete in the consolation flight. Each flight was then narrowed down to four players and finally, after two rounds played on Saturday, to just two players in each flight.
By Monday afternoon, when the matches had all been played, it was ALEX HOFSTRAND who was victorious over KEVIN CASE. Alex won 1 up on the 18th hole. In the consolation flight, MIKE LINGENFELDER won over DICK WILSON 5&4. There were many excellent matches; Congratulations to all!
